GJ Restaurant Group, a family-owned business which operates Tacos El Paisa are planning to introduce a new restaurant in Barrio Logan.
Owned by siblings Guillermo and Jacqueline de Santiago, the restaurant group has taken over the two suites which previously occupied Mariscos El Pulpo and The Reef Bar in the Mercado Del Barrio shopping complex.
SanDiegoVille first reported that La Divina is expected to debut an upscale Mexican Seafood concept overlooking the Barrio Logan Archway. La Divina will serve coastal Mexican dishes like aguachile, ceviche, and sushi with a Mexican twist.
Construction looks to be underway inside the Main Street restaurant which is steps from Chicano Park and neighbors Tocumbo Ice Cream and Northgate Market. Look out for La Divina opening in Barrio Logan in July 2022.
