Founded by Chef Cory Rapp in 2019, Royal Rooster has offered a straightforward menu of Baja-inspired tacos and burritos, quality burgers, locally sourced seafood, and craft beers.

Earlier this year, Royal Rooster announced via social media that they had outgrown their restaurant and would be changing up their menu options and general business dynamics. The dockside restaurant is now looking to staff up their current space along with staff for their second concept.

A recent hiring notice explains, “This is going to be San Diego’s newest, most fresh and only restaurant of its kind, our menu will be primarily locally sourced seafood right off the boats from our local commercial fishing captains.”

According to their new Instagram page, TheRawBar is expected to open in February 2023.
