South Park’s Mediterranean mainstay, Shawarma Guys, is heading into a huge growth phase with new brick-and-mortar locations planned across San Diego.
What Now San Diego previously reported that owner Bryan Zeto is working on expanding the brand in La Mesa and Mira Mesa. San Diego Magazine recently updated hungry fans that a third Shawarma Guys restaurant is planned in South Park.
Last year the food truck was Triple D approved by Guy Fieri himself as Zeto walked the Food Network host through the mobile restaurant that earned Yelp’s spot as the #1 restaurant in the country.
Home of the Wagyu Beef Shawarma, Shawarma Guys serves up freshly made Falafel, California Chicken Shawarma wraps, Lemon Cream Chop Fries, and its signature Shawarma Egg Rolls.
The new project will reportedly move into a 1,586-square-foot, two-story space at an undisclosed location in South Park. Initial art renderings of the project show a bright and modern interior with counter-order service and a modest seating area.
Shawarma Guys in La Mesa will reportedly launch later this summer, with South Park and Mira Mesa projected to open in Early 2024. The food truck should be available for your catering and special event needs down the road. Keep updated by following Shawarma Guys on Instagram.
