Husband and wife owners Nissim and Shira Levy tell What Now San Diego they’re in the process of finalizing their second location next to the Hillcrest gateway sign and have a third location in the works for later in 2023.

Since opening the business in 2021, Pop Pop Paletas has become an essential spot in Little Italy for scratch-made desserts.

Some of their picture-perfect paletas include Mangonada with Chamoy, top-selling Cookies and Milk, Dulce de Leche Cheesecake, and Fruity Frost Bar with bits of fruity cereal. While it’s hard to choose favorites, the Levy’s recommend their go-to flavors like the Cheesecake with Guava and Banana Nutella.

The summer menu at Pop Pops Paleta also features refreshing flavors ripe for the season, including 100% fruit Strawberry, Passion Fruit, and Watermelon Cooler, with zero-calorie and sugar-free options like Mint Lemonade.

Pop Pops Paleta in Hillcrest is expected to open in July 2023. Stay updated and browse their customizable pops by following on Instagram
