Ruby’s Diner announced the closure of their pier locations in Oceanside and Huntington Beach in 2021. The classic fifties diner had served at the end of the Oceanside Pier since 1996.

Back in 2019, reports speculated a tiki bar would replace Ruby’s by way of “Bamboo Ben” Bassham. A resident of Orange County, Bamboo Ben has lent his expertise on the build and design of many tiki bars with notable spots in the Bay Area, Orange County, and Arizona.

The team from CLTVT is keeping details close for now as they continue to work on projects like the Freeman Collective and North Park’s Lafayette Hotel. Their teaser only alludes to the new concept to serve fresh seafood.
