Jimmy John’s Sandwiches continues its fast growth across San Diego County with another outpost planned in Chula Vista next. According to a recent permit filing, Jimmy John’s will add a storefront next to Dunkin’ at Eastlake Village Center South.
Last year, What Now San Diego reported that local franchisee, Tali Burton, had purchased the exclusive rights to grow Jimmy John’s Sandwiches in San Diego with a 27-unit deal.
Already an owner of Dunkin’ Donuts across the region, Burton is committed to setting up both East Coast brands in San Diego in a major way and is having success securing spaces to operate both businesses together.
An easy transition from breakfast to lunch, Dunkin’ and Jimmy John’s will soon debut in Downtown San Diego, and another location is in the works at the brand new Topaz Apartments development adjacent to San Diego State University.
“Our common goal is to pair the two businesses. It offers the employees an advantage to be able to work at either location, and it offers the same for management as well,” Burton tells What Now San Diego.
