Burton Foods, led by franchisee Tali Burton, recently opened the company’s newest location in Downtown, located on the base floor of the 605 C Street Building. The group is now focusing its attention on the next location, within the Pacific Plaza shopping center, according to SanDiegoVille. Dunkin’s Donuts will replace Starbucks, while Jimmy John’s will open in the nearby space previously occupied by Einstein Bros. The eateries will open in late 2023 or early next year.

This is just one of several locations for the Burton Foods company, which has already opened 15 Dunkin’ Donuts throughout San Diego and signed an exclusive contract to bring 27 branches of Jimmy John’s to the area, previously reported by What Now San Diego. The announcement was made last summer, and the franchise owner has since expanded to the College Area, Chula Vista, Eastlake, and Encinitas.

Although these two concepts are entirely unrelated, the new combined model will allow fans of both brands to access them easily within Downtown and soon Pacific Beach. Jimmy Johns, founded by Jimmy John Liautaud in 1983, offers signature and customizable sandwiches, while Dunkin’ Donuts, part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants, specializes in coffee, donuts, and other morning pastries.
