With its Oceanside site and the original location in Escondido, Frida’s Taqueria is ready to expand throughout the North County. The new Vista location is expected to open at the beginning of next year, with another site coming to Ramona, according to the company’s Instagram. While the business serves North San Diego through its brick-and-mortar, it also offers catering throughout San Diego. The new restaurant will offer the same menu as the other locations.

Frida’s Taqueria opened its latest site in Oceanside Plaza at the beginning of the year as its first-ever expansion. The family-operated Tijuana-style taco shop offers delicious traditional Mexican dishes, mainly tacos, burritos, mulitas, and quesatacos. All dishes contain fresh ingredients that are prepared onsite daily. Customers will have a variety of meats to select from, including pollo asado, birria, carnitas, carne asada, and more.

Those unfamiliar with Tijuana-style tacos are made with fresh tortillas and sliced meat cut directly off of a trompo, which is constructed by stacking layers of seasoned pork on a large vertical skewer. After adding the fresh meat, the tacos are topped off with onions, cilantro, salsa, and creamy guacamole. To finish the meal, the restaurant also offers a variety of delicious Mexican drinks.
