“Smashburger continues to be a leading fast casual better burger restaurant bringing delicious burgers, shakes and fries to communities like San Diego where we now have two locations,” said Toni Bianco, SVP Global Operations for Smashburger in a statement. ” We look forward to being a part of Westfield UTC at the heart of this bustling area and becoming the ultimate go-to place for not only a craveable burger but also a cold beer or glass of wine.”

The menu features the brand’s 100% fresh (never frozen) Certified Angus Beef burgers smashed on a hot seasoned grill in an open kitchen, grilled and crispy chicken sandwiches, turkey and black bean burgers and fresh crisp salads. Side items include Crispy Brussels Sprouts and SmashFries. Beer lovers can wash down their meal with a selection of crisp cold beers. For a sweet treat, customers can also enjoy hand-spun milkshakes made with Häagen-Dazs ice cream.

Smashburger serves lunch and dinner, Sundays 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. The new 2,355-square-foot restaurant offers indoor seating for 38 and outdoor seating for 20 guests.
