Owner Clément Le Déoré recently applied for a liquor license to move his business to a bustling area in Pacific Beach, sharing a space with Local H2O Water Store Pacific Beach and Donut Bar. The French pastry specialist currently operates from El Cajon at 750 Medford Street. Le Déoré tells What Now San Diego this new location will be similar to a coffee shop, offering French desserts and croissants. He expects to open Desserts by Clement in mid-December.

Le Déoré, a French native, has been a pastry chef for more than 15 years now. After living worldwide for six years, in places such as Sydney, Corsica, and Brazil, Le Déoré finally decided to settle in San Diego and launch Desserts by Clement. Since then, the pastry chef was selected to appear on The Great American Baking Show but never made it due to the pandemic. Le Déoré has also been featured in Pastry Art Mag, Ouest France, San Diego Voyager, and more.

“Here you will find everything you need for your next event, from Macaron towers and croquembouches to Mini Cakes and Entremets,” according to the company’s website. “We love desserts, we love quality, and we love serving you. At Desserts By Clement, we make your San Diego Celebrations, both corporate and social, personal and delicious. With our years of experience, we promise you the freshest local ingredients and hand-crafted baking with our unique whimsical elegance and exceptional service. Our passion is to please and impress our clients.”
