The company operates from its Urban Winery and Tasting Room at 611 Mission Avenue, offering delicious wines, live music, and other welcoming activities. Now Skip and Maureen Coomber are ready to expand into Vista, opening in Spring 2024, according to San Diego Magazine. Customers can expect 20-30 wines to taste, outside food vendors, and “lockers for locals” available for wine club members, who can keep three wine bottles in a locker at the space and drink it on-site without a corkage fee.

The winery’s flagship location is as family-friendly as it gets, where kids and pets are welcome. Guests can bring their own food, and the company will recommend several nearby restaurants. On top of being so welcoming, Coomber Wines also hosts several local Oceanside artists seven nights a week, including award-winning artists, playing at two different times a night. The new Vista location is expected to be similar to the Oceanside site, except with an industrial design and more food options.

“Coomber Craft Wines is a place where you can enjoy good company, a refreshing ambiance, and delicious wines,” according to the company’s website. “The atmosphere invites you to relax while our knowledgeable hosts present you with an impressive selection of craft wines sure to excite your taste buds. Check out the wines at our small sanctuary guaranteed to be your new favorite spot. Try sampling a wide spectrum of vintages, and meet members of our wine club who love wine as much as you do!”
