Known for its Korean-style street foods like fried chicken, loaded battered hot dogs, and more, you can currently find ZZang at H Mart’s Balboa branch, Oceanside’s Regal Cinema Mall, and Westfield UTC’s Dining Terrace.

While they’ve mastered their menu of go-to Korean dishes, Owner Hye Kim shares with What Now San Diego that they realize the increase of competitors in the market.

“We introduced Korean hot dogs, chicken, and tteokbokki, which are the most popular foods these days, to San Diego for the first time in 2019 and have been loved by many in San Diego for their good quality,” Kim shares. “We will still try to keep our customers entertained by receiving ingredients directly from Korea and offer more sauces and seasonings.”

Experience the real deal Korean-style hot dog with ZZang’s variety of options like the Original Sausage, potato-cube-coated sausage, Cheddar Mozza (wrapped Mozzarella in cheddar cheese), and other combinations of sausage and your choice of cheese. There’s no limit to the amount of sauces and seasoning options available to add to your hot dog, but for the authentic way ZZang suggests a sprinkle of sugar.

ZZang also offers crispy fried chicken, and popcorn chicken rice bowls, plus options like deep-fried dumplings, and ZZang Bokki.

According to Kim, ZZang Hot Dog and Chicken will join Fashion Valley Mall’s second-floor food court this November 2023. For more information visit ZZang’s website for a preview of their menu and ordering details at your nearest location.
