Clairemont Mesa Location Kicks Off Soft Opening, New Spot In Mira Mesa Now Planned

The Alley is set to open doors today at their first San Diego location in Clairemont Mesa. The picture-perfect spot for boba drinks has more outposts on the way to the area through various franchisees.

Co-franchisees Lam Nguyen, Jimmy Nguyen, Phuc Vo, and David Nguyen will introduce its first location in Balboa Mesa Shopping Center and now looks to have a second spot lined up in Mira Mesa. According to a recent permit filing, The Alley will replace Tapioca Heaven Cafe on Mira Mesa Boulevard.

Recently, What Now San Diego shared the news that The Alley has signed on to join the mixed-use development Topaz Apartments near San Diego State University as confirmed by co-franchisee Lam Nguyen. As the development is still under construction, the College Area spot is expected to debut further down the road.

The Alley has plans in progress to grow its local mall presence with three franchise-owned locations in the area. Unrelated to the previous group, Franchisee Tony Nguyen will soon open The Alley at Westfield UTC and is eyeing a Fashion Valley Mall location down the road. 

The Taiwanese brand is known for its signature “Deerioca” brown sugar boba drinks. Their menu offers a variety of milk teas, refreshing fruit teas, and coffee drinks, and paired with their sweet combo croissant and waffle, the “Croffle.”
