This will be the last of four new dining concepts coming to the $100 million redeveloped hotel by design firm ForrestPerkins, according to San Diego Magazine. Customers can expect Roman-style pizzas, paninis, salads, freshly roasted espresso, and gelatos from Paradiso in Coronado. The vision behind this new concept is to transport guests to the vibrancy of Little Italy within the hotel. The new Italian market and cafe will open in August 2024.

When Strada opens, it will be the last of the new dining concepts coming to the hotel next year, joining Rumorosa (January 2024), Sunglow Cabana Bar (March 2024), and Brewery X (June 2024). All concepts are operated by executive chef Marcos Seville, executive sous chef Cesar Oceguera, food and beverage director Bertrand Daluzeauthe, and beverage consulting company Snake Oil Cocktail Co.

The entire project aims to replicate the rugged coastal landscape that defines the Baja and Southern California regions. The multi-million dollar renovation includes nearly every square foot, including 1,065 guest rooms. The three-year process will enhance and modernize the hotel so guests can have an even better experience when visiting San Diego.
