The hotel is undergoing a three-year multi-million dollar remodel by design firm ForrestPerkins, according to San Diego Magazine. Last year, the hotel announced a partnership with Brewery X, bringing the Anaheim-based brewery to San Diego for the first time. Earlier this month, Rumorosa was announced as the second of four new dining concepts coming to the hotel, opening in January 2024. Now, the hotel has revealed the next to open: Sunglow Cabana Bar.

Opening sometime in March 2024, Sunglow Cabana Bar will feature a warm color palette and cabana-style daybeds for all-day drinking. The restaurant will have a variety of alcohol to choose from while having a beautiful view of the marina. There’s no word as to whether Sunglow Cabana Bar will have any food, but if not, guests can order food from Rumorosa, featuring locally caught Point Loma seafood, marinated meats, and even more alcoholic options.

After Sunglow Cabana Bar opens, Brewery X will open in June 2024, with a custom outdoor brewing deck, craft beers from the brewery’s lineup, and chef-driven food options. The final concept to open is Strada, an Italian market and cafe, opening in August 2024. Executive chef Marcos Seville and executive sous chef Cesar Oceguera are the culinary minds behind all four concepts. Food and beverage director Bertrand Daluzeauthe and beverage consulting company Snake Oil Cocktail Company also work together on these concepts.
