The company’s newest location is getting ready to move into the North County Mall, according to a recent liquor license application. Owner Mike Rafipoor appears to be expanding the brand across San Diego County, as he has already opened four locations along the coast in Carlsbad, Del Mar, UTC, and Mission Valley. The delicious Mediterranean restaurant also has a handful of sites in Orange and Los Angeles Counties, plus one in Bakersfield. There is no exact opening date for the new Escondido site.

The North County Mall, originally opened in 1986, is undergoing a handful of new tenants, with La Michoacana also opening soon, according to the mall’s directory. The new eateries will join the recently opened Charleys Cheesesteaks. This will be a perfect location for the new Panini Kabob Grill, as the recently renovated center enjoys tremendous visibility and access from I-15 and shares the same highway exit as the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

“At Panini Kabob Grill, we believe in taking the time to prepare every dish to order using fresh, high-quality ingredients,” according to the company’s website. “Our talented team works hard every day to create delicious Mediterranean meals in our scratch kitchens so you can enjoy a dining experience that is always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. We take pride in preparing healthier, homemade Mediterranean food using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients.”
