Operating partner Luke Abbo tells What Now San Diego Hot Chicks is the latest concept the Abbo’s will add to their portfolio of restaurants, which includes Crust Kitchen and Crack Taco Shop. The gourmet taco shop neighbors their new hot chicken restaurant.

Besides their place in the restaurant industry for 30+ years, members of the Abbo family also operate various local gas stations and liquor stores, including Harbor Market, Seaport Market in Seaport Village, Valley Liquor, and UTC Market.

Abbo says Hot Chicks will open with a straightforward menu of chicken tenders and sandwiches, served alongside sides like fries, mac and cheese, cole slaw, plus a variety of dipping sauces made in-house.

Hot Chicks is expected to open later in February and a website and social media are in the works. View a sneak peek at the restaurant interior on their recent hiring notice. Abbo Restaurant Group is also working on a second outpost of Crack Taco Shop in Seaport Village to open later in 2023.
