The company recently applied for permits to open a new location in the former home of Boston Market, next to KFC. There is no exact timeline for this new Chipotle, but considering it is taking over a standalone site, it’s very possible the company will install a Chipotlane at this location. On top of being able to go in and order a customizable burrito, bowl, salad, or taco, customers will be able to order via the app and pick it up through a drive-through.

The fast-casual chain restaurant continues to expand throughout the country with a successful third quarter, which had a total revenue of $2.5 billion, an increase of 11.3% compared to the third quarter of 2022. The increase in total revenue was driven by new restaurant openings, with 62 new restaurants opening during the third quarter with 54 locations featuring a Chipotlane.

“Chipotle’s value proposition, including customized, delicious culinary served quickly with great hospitality, is stronger than ever, which is translating to great results, including sustained positive transaction growth,” Brian Niccol, Chairman and CEO of Chipotle, said in a press release. “We remain focused on developing exceptional people, preparing delicious food, and fast throughput, which will further strengthen our brand and continue to position us for long-term growth.”
