Barley and Sword is set to replace Pariah Brewing which relocated to continue the business solely in Baltimore. The new brewery will join neighboring brewery Seek Beer Co., along with another set of newcomers at GOAL. Brewing which is also in the process of launching this year.

According to their website, Barley and Sword consist of four owners: Cory Berrang who will oversee marketing and operations, facility manager David Lawrence, Bruce Rice who will manage IT functions for the business, and head brewer Mike Howell

“We strive to keep our craft simple, our beer traditional, and our customer experience comfortable and enriching,” declares the Barley and Sword mission statement. The brewery will reportedly honor the history of beermaking, offering a variety of styles for the modern beer consumer while also introducing classic styles not typically found in other San Diego taprooms.

CRAFT has successfully housed craft beer brands like Eppig, Pariah, San Diego Brewing Company, and JuneShine Hard Kombucha since 2016. CRAFT North Park is one of three Igniter locations managed by H.G. Fenton Company.

The Barley and Sword Brewing team is currently in the process of customizing their new home and anticipates a mid-2023 opening. Get to know Barley and Sword Brewing Company and preview the space by following on Instagram
