What Now San Diego spoke with CEO Aimee Cruz about the process of uncovering the hidden gems of Valle de Guadalupe as she recognized the roadblocks first-time planners can encounter while attempting to book a spot to stay the night or taste wine.

“I saw an opportunity when I realized it can be hard to plan a trip there. The area has grown in popularity, and has built enough amenities but has retained its quaint charm and peacefulness,” explains Cruz.

The recently launched website for Valle Guadalupe Baja offers a user-friendly option to book wine tastings, dinner, or lodging accommodations in one place. “It’s for tourists, wine enthusiasts, and adventure seekers,” shares Cruz, who has developed relationships with local Valle de Guadalupe business owners operating boutique hotels and wineries.

Beyond booking tours and stays, Valle Guadalupe Baja can also bring the region to folks here in San Diego. Book a Botellas de Vino package and Cruz will bring a taste of the Valle to you with a sampling event or tasting party. Cruz explains, “For locals in SoCal, they can try the wines and figure out which ones appeal to them most to help plan out their future trip.” Valle Guadalupe Baja also plans to begin importing wines from their favorite locations in the region to partner with San Diego restaurants interested in carrying wines straight from Valle de Guadalupe.

Valle Guadalupe Baja will be rolling out all new travel packages in January 2022, including Romance Packages in time for Valentine’s Day. Travel packages can be customized to include transportation, lodging, tastings, cheese boards, couples photo shoots, massage and spa treatments, ATV rides, and more. Some of their select winery partners include Origen75 and Solar Fortun. Hotels and Restaurants include Contemplacion, SalviaBlanca, Tres Vides, Allea, and many more.
