Unisushi announced via social media that it’s headed to the Torrey Hills area to set up its next restaurant. According to a recent permit filing, the woman-owned restaurant is expected to join Torrey Hills Center shopping mall soon.
Owner Sonia Coronado tells What Now San Diego she’s excited to get to know their new community in Torrey Hills and plans to expand the offerings to appeal to locals. Using only the best quality ingredients, Coronado shares that they expect to introduce an all-you-can-eat-sushi menu, plus live jazz music, and karaoke nights in the new location.
Unisushi got its start in 2014, gaining popularity through corporate catering and special events, and operates one restaurant at Chula Vista Center shopping mall. Coronado prides herself on growing her female-led and family-operated restaurant with a second space that will offer a more elegant design.
