Ready for a new fitness routine? After recently opening their doors in Del Mar, Sweat Circuit is planning another fitness center in the Eastlake area of Chula Vista. Owners Liz and Nick Merrill started the business in Seattle in 2014 but ditched the rain to introduce Sweat Circuit to San Diego with a location in Coronado.

Sweat Circuit offers a circuit-style workout with an emphasis on individualized strength training routines with daily updates so you’re never bored. What Now San Diego spoke with Owner Liz Merrill shared more about their unique style.

“We came up with this workout before boot camps were even a thing. We decided to take the class and blend personal training style attention and knowledge of the client, and combine it with the fun and camaraderie of a group class,” Merrill shares.

“The workout changes every day, the equipment will be different. Our equipment is green, powered by humans. What differentiates us from other group training, be it spin or pilates or Orange Theory, is that we stress the importance of strength training. We integrate dumbbells and barbells as part of the workout with customizations for the person. It’s tailored to what you can do.” Through strength training and cardio, the equipment and workout updates daily to keep your body guessing. They have emphasized arm days, core days, and leg days but a total body workout is promised every visit.

Sweat Circuit offers many daily workouts at their locations in Coronado and Del Mar. Eastlake is opening by the end of 2021 at 1745 Eastlake Parkway in Chula Vista. Check out their Website for class times and visit their Instagram page for more information.
