SomiSomi Ice Cream is planning for their third San Diego location. The Korean-inspired soft serve brand will join The Collection at UTC in La Jolla next.
Founded in 2016, the franchise ice cream shop has 21 locations open across California, plus additional spots in Nevada, Texas, and Hawaii. According to their Location list, more stores are coming soon to San Diego, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Sacramento.
SomiSomi specializes in unique soft serve ice cream flavors served in their signature goldfish-shaped waffle cones called Taiyaki. Customers can choose from soft serve flavors like Ube, Matcha, Milk Tea, Banana, Sesame and many more. You can also load your taiyaki with fillings like taro or custard. SomiSomi even offers swirls to combine two of your favorite ice cream flavors at once.
No word yet on when we can expect more frozen treats in the La Jolla area. For now, you can find SomiSomi open in Mira Mesa and Convoy. Follow them on Instagram for updates on specialty flavors and inspiration for your next swirl combos.
