Ojos Locos Sports Cantina looks to be planning its first San Diego location. A recent ABC license application places the Mexican restaurant and sports bar in Chula Vista’s Palomar Commerce Center shopping mall.
Headquartered in Plano, TX, Ojos Locos introduced its first sports bar catering to Latino sports fans in 2010. The company now operates 27 locations across four states and counting. In recent years, Ojos Locos has introduced new spots in Phoenix and Vegas.
Ojos Locos Sports Cantina is launching its first California location in Downey, where it’s currently holding auditions for new staff promising a big summer of dinero for its scantily-clad servers.
A hub for catching your favorite sporting events broadcast on wall-to-wall HD TV’s, Ojos Locos Sports Cantina is known for its scratch-made Mexican cuisine and pub food, and its signature “Balón,” a tall pitcher holding 60 or 100 oz. of the cerveza of your choice, promised to be chilled at 29 degrees.
