Juice It Up!, one of the nation’s leading handcrafted smoothie and superfruit bowl chains, has opened in San Marcos, Calif., kicking off the brand’s San Diego market entry. The restaurant is the first in a six-unit development deal signed by experienced franchise group HGW Capital LLC, which has exclusive rights to a territory that includes parts of San Diego, Vista, Escondido, Chula Vista and National City. Longtime fans of the leading juice and smoothie brand, HGW plans to open its five remaining San Diego County locations in the next few years, with its second location opening in 2024 in downtown San Diego’s Little Italy. Located in San Marcos’ bustling Nordahl Marketplace, Juice It Up! is now serving its full menu of deliciously flavorful and nutritiously functional fresh-squeezed raw juices, blended-to-order smoothies, nutrient-rich açaí and superfruit bowls to North County locals.
“My family and I have been fans of the Juice It Up! brand for years, so when we were ready to diversify our existing franchise portfolio, it was the first concept that came to mind,” said Joe Harry of HGW in a statement. “We saw the opportunity to debut Juice It Up! in San Diego County and couldn’t be more excited to have the San Marcos location open, especially at a time where health and nutrition are top of mind. As area residents ourselves, we are also happy to support the local workforce by employing team members who are passionate about delivering refreshing smoothies, bowls and juices with high-quality ingredients.”
Juice It Up! has more than two dozen locations in its development pipeline, including multi-unit deals across Los Angeles County and Northern California, propelling the legacy chain toward its goal of reaching 200 locations by 2027.
Juice It Up!’s new San Marcos store is located at 751 Center Drive, Suite 109. The location is open Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
