Eater reports Chef Jason Neroni and owner of The Rose Café in Venice Beach will breathe new life into the Alma’s in-house restaurants. Neroni has an impressive resume of work in fine dining restaurants, including Spago Beverly Hills, Le Cirque New York, and now-closed Blanca in Solana Beach.

Renderings show the Kimpton Alma’s new design aesthetic takes inspiration from Mexico with traditional tapestries, artwork and murals, and succulent plants. Their website promotes Alma as “the soul of SoCal,” highlighting the hotel’s close proximity to San Diego’s most lively neighborhoods and best hangout spots.

To mesh with the Alma’s SoCal vibes, Neroni is expected to take culinary inspiration from locally sourced ingredients to curate a uniquely San Diego dining experience.

More on the new projects is yet to be released ahead of Kimpton Alma’s Fall 2022 reopening. Follow on Instagram for more and visit their Website for a preview of the upgraded pool deck and rooms.
