Over on Instagram, the local account Oceanside Passport shared the news with followers, allowing O’siders to sound off on the new addition to South Oceanside. Comments are mixed, with some lamenting over the loss of Angelos or the high amount of coffeehouses already lining the main thoroughfare, and others committed to supporting the smaller coffee purveyors of the area and suggesting a fight to block Better Buzz from the site.

Mixed reactions aside, Better Buzz Coffee looks to be committed to its growth plans and will take advantage of Angelos Burgers’ infrastructure, which includes a drive-thru.

Better Buzz got its start in 2002 with a flagship cafe in Hillcrest and now operates 16 locations across San Diego, with more in the works. According to their website, another location is nearing an opening this summer in Carlsbad.

With a mantra that “Life’s Better Buzzed,” their menu features signature drinks like the Rose Water Latte, Mint Infused Iced Coffee, plus acai bowls, sandwiches, and toasts.

An opening timeline for Better Buzz Coffee in Oceanside is yet to be announced. Find your nearest Better Buzz by visiting their Website and follow on Facebook for more information.
