You can currently get your chicken and waffle fix at Ali’s stall inside Donut Star on University Avenue in City Heights. The new location is their first standalone restaurant, operating next to Coffee N Talk and Stout Public House.

Serving an all-day menu with breakfast options, combo meals, and “Soulcal Specials” like the Surf n’ Bird burritos, the star of the show is their Chicken and Waffles with signature sauces and syrups.

What Now San Diego spoke with Genemo Ali who shares that they have been working on logistics for the space and were trying to surprise their loyal customers with the new space.
