Insomnia Cookies continues its rapid growth across the country, adding to its 200+ locations in the US with another location planned for San Diego. According to a recent permit filing, the popular cookie chain is planning a new storefront in the heart of North Park.
Insomnia Cookies is the brainchild of Seth Berkowitz, who cooked up the idea from his University of Pennsylvania dorm room back in 2003. The business remains headquartered in Philadelphia with corporate-owned locations across the country.
As the name suggests, even the sleepless night owls have access to Insomnia’s fresh-from-the-oven cookies via delivery until 3 am with a quick-order system on their website.
Guests can choose from an assortment of sweets, with boxes loaded with classic cookie flavors like chocolate chunk, red velvet, birthday cake, and chocolate peanut butter cup, plus brownies, brookies, cookie cakes, and ice cream. Insomnia Cookies offers vegan and gluten-free options, with craveable combinations like their Cookie’wich ice cream sandwiches.
