The company’s third location will move into the current home of The Jolly Joker Tavern and, before that, Elbow Room, according to SanDiegoVille. Owner Michael Pasulka first opened the concept in Clairemont Mesa in 2000. Since closing that location in 2014, Pasulka has wanted to return to central San Diego. Now, he will open the new 5,242-square-foot Players Sports Grill in late 2023, giving Kearny Mesa a new place to watch sports with plenty of cold beer and delicious food.

When the new Players Sports Grill opens later this year, customers can expect a welcoming environment with TVs playing various sporting events. On top of this being an excellent place to kick back and watch some sports, the restaurants offer the perfect bites to eat for game day, including pizzas, wings, tenders, nachos, salad, burgers, and plenty of appetizers. There will also be plenty to drink at this new bar, with something for everyone, from craft beer to cocktails.

“Our vibrant restaurant offers a thrilling atmosphere where you can enjoy top-notch food and ice-cold beverages,” according to the company’s website. “Cheer on your favorite teams while savoring our mouthwatering dishes. With a pet-friendly patio, friendly service, and a community of loyal patrons, Players Sports Grill is the go-to spot for an unforgettable sports dining experience. Join us today and discover the perfect blend of sports, great food, and a welcoming environment at Players Sports Grill.”
