What brings coffee enthusiasts together to create House of Black Coffee Company? It’s not snobbery or nerdiness, rather, according to the company’s website, “We are simply just people who have an avid interest in all things related to the craft. Our mission is to redefine stereotypes by bringing fresh vibes with fresh coffee, one cup at a time.”

HOB Coffee serves small batch, craft coffee roasted locally in San Diego. At any given time, the company carries 3-4 single origin coffee beans, which you can purchase online or in one of the company’s three shops. HOB has a full espresso bar, nitro cold brew, and a few non-coffee drinks to choose from if you’re not into the whole delicious-coffee-sort-of-thing. Oh, and they have plenty of merch too, if you identify as a ‘coffeehead.’

So why is this news? Well, HOB has plans to grow. The company recently filed a permit application for a new space: 803 Twin Oaks Valley Road in San Marcos. The property is 960 square-feet and located on the corner of Twin Oaks Valley Rd and Village Dr.

On June 11th the company posted a social media update on these plans: “4th LOCATION 🔒NORTH COUNTY, we coming for ya ☕️” According to the post, HOB Coffee San Marcos will open sometime this summer.
