Galpão Gaucho opened its seventh location in the U.S. in San Diego, CA. The Brazilian Steakhouse brings to San Diego a restaurant experience inspired by Gaucho culture and the dining tradition of the Brazilian cowboy – the rodizio menu. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy 17 different cuts of meat including beef, seafood, pork, chicken, lamb and more, for $48 during weekday lunch and $72 for dinner and weekend service. The 10,000 square foot space features around 400 seats.

Upon arrival, a server in blue and red Gaucho attire will seat guests at their table. Ensuring guests understand the unique concept and style of service, the server will demonstrate the use of the coaster, which displays bright green and red hues. To obtain a cut piece of meat, the guest should turn the coaster to green to be met with a meat chef holding a skewer. To temporarily pause the unlimited skewer service, guests can turn the coaster to red, and repeat the process.

The full rodizio selection includes a variety of meat offerings. Galpão Gaucho offers their signature cut – the Picanha – which is the noble part of the sirloin. Additional Picanha offerings include garlic and spicy flavors. Guests can enjoy dishes “Wrapped in Bacon,” including chicken and filet mignon, which are seasoned and enhanced by a strip of crispy bacon. Filet Mignon is also served alone, which is Galpão Gaucho’s leanest cut of beef. The range of grilled options also include shrimp, salmon, pineapple– and white cheddar cheese, which is a Brazilian style cheese grilled and served with honey. Pork offerings include ribs, sausage, and pork loin with parmesan. Additional menu items include bottom sirloin, lamb chops, ribeye, beef ribs, chicken drumsticks and leg of lamb.

To complement the meat cuts, guests will be met with an all-you-can-eat-style service, which includes 40 salad items, and side dishes such as garlic mashed potatoes, sweet caramelized bananas, and homemade chimichurri sauce. A cheese bread appetizer, a la carte desserts and a variety of cocktails, wine and beer are also available.

“San Diego is a wonderful city that we always wanted to step foot in and provide guests with an experience like never before,” said Sidinaldo Silva, regional manager of Galpão Gaucho in a statement. “San Diego marks our lucky seventh location and we wouldn’t have been able to do this without the demand from our guests.”

Galpão Gaucho is a national Brazilian Steakhouse restaurant brand with a presence in Napa, Cupertino, Walnut Creek and Roseville in California, as well as Las Vegas, NV and Charleston, SC.

To commemorate the new location, a Grand Opening celebration will take place in November with more details to come. Galpão Gaucho San Diego is located at 789 West Harbor Drive, Ste #134, San Diego, CA 92101. The restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Friday, from 11:30am-2:30pm; dinner Monday through Thursday from 5-9:30pm; Friday from 5-10pm; Saturday from noon-10pm; and Sunday from noon-9pm.
