The restaurant will take over the former El Torito location turned H&B Korean BBQ which opened and closed at the start of the pandemic.

Seasoned restaurateur Shan Guo confirms to What Now San Diego the BBQ spot is in the works but details are sparse while in its early planning phase. Guo has also established restaurants in the Bay Area, including a similar Korean BBQ concept and a Bag O’ Crab seafood restaurant.

Gaja Korean BBQ is expected to open in June 2022. A Gaja Korean account is parked on Instagram for now but details are sure to be shared ahead of their Summer debut.
