The company’s third location is set to move into the former home of Filiberto’s Mexican Food, first reported by SanDiegoVille. Customers can expect a 1,500-square-foot outdoor patio instead of a drive-thru and the company’s signature lineup of delicious beers and tacos. There is no exact timeline for the opening, but it’s expected to open before the end of the year. This will be an excellent location for Craft Coast Beer & Tacos in a busy area of downtown Encinitas.

The news of another location coming to San Diego is impressive for the company, considering it debuted in 2020 from Oceanside. Late last year, co-owners Lars Erickson, Brian Gillen, and head brewer Blake Masoner took over the massive brewery and tasting room from Rip Current Brewery in San Marco and turned it into Craft Coast’s new headquarters. This allowed the company to expand further with the help of an on-site canning line. The company’s newest headquarters officially opened last month.

“To celebrate the opening of our new location in San Marcos, we brewed a new IPA stacked with some of our favorite hops,” the company recently posted at the beginning of the month. “Valley of Discovery is a West Coast IPA fermented cold with our favorite lager yeast, a blend of Pilsner malt, two-row, and oats, and the powerhouse of Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, and Motueka. We boosted the hop profile using Simcoe 702, Citra Cryo, and [NZ Hops Ltd.] Motueka, delivering a bright citrus and tropical fruit aroma and flavor.”
