The company’s newest location is one of three tenants coming to the Balboa Plaza Pad Expansion, along with Best Pizza & Brew and Urbane Cafe. All three restaurants are expected to open later this year, considering the interior of the restaurants is still under construction at the corner of Genessee Avenue and Derrick Drive. Buffalo Wild Wings Go will share a space with Urbane Cafe, while Best Pizza & Brew will have its own building. Both buildings will have patios.
Buffalo Wild Wings introduced the new scaled-down to-go format a few years ago during the pandemic and saw huge success. Much like other slimmed-down versions of concepts, the Buffalo Wild Wings Go is designed for online, mobile, and takeout orders, featuring less than two dozen seats, presumably for customers awaiting their orders. Buffalo Wild Wings opened a similar format with limited service, called B-Dubs Express before the chain was acquired for $2.9 billion by what would eventually become Inspire Brands. The company opened its 50th location around this time last year.
“We’re excited to celebrate this significant milestone for Buffalo Wild Wings GO,” Vice President of Buffalo Wild Wings GO Anthony Rothrauff said in a press release last year during the opening of the 50th location. “GO is a natural complement to our existing sports bar presence, providing additional consumer reach with a convenient takeout and delivery experience. Over the past three years, GO has expanded into ten states with a variety of formats, and we’re enthusiastic about the growth on the horizon.”
