Big Jim’s Roast Beef announced on social media that the pop-up restaurant has signed a lease for its first standalone restaurant in Pacific Beach. According to a recent permit filing, the sandwich shop is expected to replace Uncle Chai Thailand Street Food on Cass Street

The mobile restaurant shares on social media that what started as a backyard pandemic project now sees year-after-year growth. Once again, Big Jim’s Roast Beef shares the business is on track to reach new records in sales for 2023. 

Big Jim’s Roast Beef maintains a busy schedule across San Diego, with regular stops at the Ocean Beach Farmers Market, Oceanside’s Sunset Market, and Poor House Brewing in North Park. 

Specializing in New England-style roast beef sandwiches, Big Jim’s main offering is the Super Beef sandwich stacked high with thinly sliced roast beef, served on an onion bun, with American cheese and a generous dousing of James River BBQ sauce.
