To give the Little Italy community an opportunity to become familiar with the BFT experience, the new studio will celebrate its opening with several weeks of discounted memberships and free classes to community members during the Grand Opening weekend. This kicks off with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, May 3rd at 10:30 a.m., with free classes being offered from then until May 5th.

BFT Little Italy is owned and operated by local entrepreneurs, Curtis Bielski, and Leanne and Gary Molinero. Before moving from Dubai to the United States in November of 2023, Bielski, who’s originally from Australia, had spent the last 18 years in the fitness industry as a fat loss expert and strength and conditioning coach across Australia and the Middle East. Leanne also grew up in Australia spending her career as a Health and Physical Education Teacher around the world, before moving to run the new location in September of 2023. Her husband, Gary, is a native of Pennsylvania and spent his 30-year career in the oil industry working in Egypt, Indonesia, the UK, India and Kuwait before he retired in 2020, when he looked to pursue entrepreneurship. The group was united by fitness when Bielski helped Gary get back into shape, and later came together again to own a fitness concept of their own.

“We loved the idea of being a part of the growth of BFT, with it’s roots being based back in Australia,” said Bielski in a statement. “Little Italy is the perfect spot to provide the community with a different way to train that allows us to impact lives through our science and evidence-based approach to fitness.”

The new strength training studio coming to Little Italy elevates these functionalities by combining elements of personal training with group exercise instruction, built to deliver results at every fitness level. Progressive programming periodized over eight to ten weeks allows members to recover properly while attending classes an average of four to five times per week, which in turn maintains engagement. Classes incorporate scientifically proven training techniques aimed at reducing fat and creating lean muscle and utilize state-of-the-art technology including proprietary heart rate monitors. By combining cardio with resistance programs across 14 class types, members benefit from activating all three muscle fiber types, working through all three planes of movement, and stressing all three energy systems. Unique to BFT, every class is led by two to three highly accredited coaches to help members achieve health goals in a safe and inclusive environment.

BFT Little Italy is open Monday through Thursday 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
