Kory Stetina, who is the mastermind behind Kindred and Mothership, is working on these ventures with his business partner, Arsalun Tafazoli, who is the co-founder of CH Projects but is working on this venture independently of the hospitality group, according to Eater San Diego. Part of the development will be dedicated to Vulture, an elegant restaurant with a romantically dark dining room and a small bar, while Dreamboat will be a casual “micro-diner” of just ten seats emphasizing takeout.

Both concepts are expected to open in late Summer/ early fall next to Park & Rec. When they open, customers can expect two very different concepts, both entirely vegan. Vulture will offer modernized vegan versions of retro classics, such as oysters Rockefeller, steak Diane, and cherries jubilee, in a 4,400-square-foot space that will be inspired by the mid-century heyday of continental American fine dining, as described by Eater. The small bar will have a variety of drinks such as champagnes, martinis, and more.

Dreamboat, on the other hand, will offer coffee, pastries, and a handful of breakfast dishes in the early morning, followed by a daytime menu featuring sandwiches, burgers, and shakes. To end the night, the eatery will dedicate itself to desserts, including throwback treats from Vulture’s lineup, as well as pies, cakes, and ice cream. This concept is not to be confused with the CH Project in Little Italy, which is also tentatively named Dreamboat.
