Surfin’ Chicken Coming to San Diego Market

The quick-service chicken restaurant Surfin’ Chicken is expanding quickly in Southern California, entering the San Diego market next. What Now Dallas reports the chain is making waves in Dallas-Fort Worth for their US debut.

Founded in Croatia in 2009, Surfin’ Chicken currently operates more than 60 locations across 20 countries, including Germany, Ireland, Australia, and Vietnam. The brand is known as Surf ‘N’ Fries in most places, changing its name to Surfin’ Chicken for their US expansion. 

Their menu includes chicken sandwiches, tenders, nuggets, and their unique brand of wedge fries served with a variety of dipping sauces and toppings. Surfin’ Chicken also offers a breakfast menu of egg sandwiches with cheese, bacon, spicy bacon, or sausage. 

According to recent permit filings, we can expect our first Surfin’ Chicken locations inside the following local Walmart locations: 

  • Walmart in Gateway at Kearny Mesa Shopping Mall – 4840 Shawline St, San Diego, CA 92111
  • Walmart in Gateway Marketplace – 75 N Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910
  • Walmart in Town & Country Shopping Mall – 13425 Community Rd, Poway, CA 92064
