Societe Brewing Company announced that after ten years in the bustling San Diego beer scene, they’re gearing up to open their first satellite tasting room off site from their brewing facility on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Their second stop for beer in San Diego is heading for Old Town next.
San Diego Beer News reports the Kearny Mesa brewers are taking over two former retail spaces at Old Town Corral on San Diego Avenue next to the Old Town Model Railroad Depot. The tasting room will refit 2,800 square feet of space, and include an additional 380 square feet of outdoor seating.
We can expect Societe to bring their rustic appeal and classic beer styles, expanding to a wider audience of locals and San Diego visitors in the Old Town neighborhood. Since the site has operated as retail shops, a full kitchen would need to be installed for food service on-site.
Reports say we can expect a slimmed down version of the satellite tasting room to open as soon as this Summer. The full renovation project is estimated to finalize by Spring 2023. Stay tuned for updates by following their Instagram.
