Venturant Group, the parent company of Shoo Loong Kan Hot Pot, otherwise known as Xiaolongkan Hot Pot in China, where the company was founded, is expanding throughout the West Coast, starting with a new site in Bellevue, WA. After this, the Sichuan-based company, which has more than 1,000 outlets worldwide, will open within the upcoming 50,000-square-foot Zion Market development in Kearny Mesa, according to Eater San Diego. The site is currently scheduled to open in Summer 2024.

When the new hot pot restaurant makes its San Diego debut, customers can expect a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetable options, all made at the table in a pot of simmering brother. This isn’t the only concept Venturant Group is working on at this development. In addition to Shoo Loong Kan Hot Pot, the parent company plans to open a Japanese barbecue restaurant and a boba shop at the Zion Market site. The exact details regarding these two new concepts have yet to be revealed.

While the Venturant Group has three concepts coming to the new Zion Market, there are still plenty of other options for customers. In addition to several nearby buildings around the market housing office space, retail, and other services, the development will also be home to Paris Baguette, Bafang Dumpling, Dot & Dough, Marugame Udon, and a new cafe specializing in Vietnamese coffee. Finally, the 25,000-square-foot rooftop food court will feature a cocktail speakeasy and an international mix of food stalls.
