Pret A Manger, a British eatery with over 550 stores globally, announced a franchise partnership with Dallas Holdings to further expand their presence in the US. Eater reports the group has promised at least 40 locations across Southern California.
Headquartered in Leicester, Dallas Holdings works with brands in the coffee and QSR space on their global growth initiatives.
Dallas Holdings already operates a collection of Pret A Manger UK locations and will soon add to Pret’s 44 existing locations in New York with another New York City storefront preparing to open in Early 2023. Soon after that, the company will set their sights on California to initiate expansion of Pret A Manger across Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.
“We’re very excited to be expanding into California next year with the help of Dallas Holdings,” says Jorrie Bruffett, President of Pret A Manger North America in a press release. “We’ve been seeing steady growth week over week as customers and businesses continue to return to the office. This shift has aided in our recovery efforts and even our coffee orders have now surpassed pre-pandemic levels. We believe this is the right time to identify new partners to help us enter new markets where we know there is a demand for Pret.”
Serving ready-to-eat meals and organic coffee, Pret A Manger has been in operation since 1986. Their menu features a wide variety of baguette sandwiches, wraps, soups, baked goods, and dessert pots.
While exact locations are unconfirmed at this time, Southern Californians can expect the first Pret locations to open by Summer 2023. This article will be updated as additional details become available.
