The new business is said to be a wine bar, named after the pipette winemakers use to extract small amounts of wine from casks to taste or test their aging product. The space is just a few doors down from the Bottlecraft Shop and Tasting Room in North Park

The family of businesses owned by Jensen are Bottlecraft, Vino Carta, and yet-to-open restaurant and beercentric bar called Bock.

Bottlecraft currently operates six beer-focused shops and tasting rooms across San Diego, Long Beach, and San Luis Obispo. Vino Carta wine shops are open in Little Italy and Solana Beach, and Bock will soon replace Hamilton’s in South Park later this year.

Little Thief will highlight independent brands, natural wines, along with old world wines from across the globe, carefully selected by the experts from the Bottlecraft & Vino Carta teams. To pair with the wide selection of wines, the bar will serve shareable plates and small bites.

The change of ownership is said to take place soon. Reports say Little Thief expects to open in August 2022. For now, visit the Bottlecraft Website or Vino Carta Website for more information about the businesses.
