The company’s newest location is set to move into the former home of several salons, most recently Aspire Hair Salon. Area Director and franchisee Cathy Brown tells What Now San Diego that the company plans to open that location on July 10. This is just the beginning for Brown, who currently has a few more stores in the pipeline and expects to open two or three more stores by the end of this year. There’s no exact exact timeline for these upcoming Jersey Mike’s locations. This is just one of many upcoming sites for the company.

While there are over 2,700 Jersey Mike’s across the United States, California is currently home to the most locations, with at least 376 shops so far. The company will continue to grow across the state, as the new La Jolla site is just one of nineteen new locations opening throughout the state, according to Finance Buzz. All of this is part of Jersey Mike’s aggressive expansion plan, which has more than 260 locations opening up soon.

Late last year, the company announced plans to open hundreds of locations nationwide over the next few years. CEO Peter Cancro said the sandwich chain expects to open 350 locations, followed by the same number in 2025, according to QSR Magazine. Then, by 2026, Jersey Mike’s is anticipating 400-450 openings before settling into a cadence of 13–15 percent annual unit growth after that. In other words, within the next five years, Cancro hopes to have at least 5,000-plus domestic locations on track to eventually double that number.
