Co-Owners Tom Lawrence and Zachary Dixon dreamed up their concept over the years while working together at Amazon. Dixon has been a Homebrewer for 10 years, and eventually when co-worker Lawrence joined in on weekend brew sessions, their hobby turned into a greater passion for developing unique recipes.

Dreamscape Brewing was born out of their combined effort and passion to build their dream brewery.

As consumers, they’ve been exploring and drinking up all that San Diego has to offer in order to help them figure out what they’d like to contribute to this great beer scene. “We’re both huge hop heads so we’re in the right area,” Lawrence tells What Now San Diego.

“We’re focusing on hop-forward beers, and not just IPAs. I have a culinary arts background, which translates into brewing adjunct, culinary-inspired beers,” explains Dixon. “We have a wide variety of styles we like to drink and brew and a growing appreciation for traditional German-style beers: Hefeweizens, Bocks, Dunkels.”

The two will continue to explore styles, putting new spins on ales, sours, and keeping their taplist fresh with variety and plenty of options for customers to choose from.

They’re working on converting the former Iron Fist Brewing space, which came with a fully-furnished taproom complete with indoor and outdoor seating. Dreamscape Brewing is projected to debut in Barrio Logan in Fall 2022. Check out what Dreamscape is brewing up by following them on Instagram
