The company recently submitted plans to the Department of Environmental Health and Quality to open a new location in Tilly’s current home in the Del Mar Highland Town Center. The chain restaurant has locations in Arizona, Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, and North Carolina. There is no exact timeline for this location, considering the application is still being reviewed. When it opens, customers can expect ice-cold beer, house-made cocktails, and classic food.

While this won’t be the first concept from Phoenix-based Fox Restaurant Concepts, it will be the first time Culinary Dropout makes it into California. The restaurant group also operates a Blanco Cocina + Cantina in Mission Valley, Flower Child in Del Mar, The Henry in Coronado, and a second and a second Blanco Cocina + Cantina coming soon to Coronado, plus a handful of concepts in Los Angeles County. While the food will speak for itself, Culinary Dropout takes pride in helping the community it serves so residents should be hopeful that these plans follow through.

“When we’re not serving up nachos or slingin’ drinks, we strive to make sure we are truly ingrained in the fabric of the rad communities we serve,” according to the company’s website. “Being a part of the neighborhood is important to us, and we are dedicated to showing our support through gift card donations, benefit nights, sponsorships, and more.”
