Co-owners Bill DeWitt and Zack Brager remark that the site comes equipped with the infrastructure necessary for their brewing operations, plus easy access to freeways, and a quick jaunt to Pechanga Arena.

Established in 2015, California Wild Ales is known as San Diego’s “Sour House.” Their sour beers are aged in oak barrels for 9-12 months and use fresh, seasonal produce to craft their unique styles like the Pomegranate Wild Ale or Blackberry Jam. Offering something for every palate, their tap list also features the 14 Mile West Coast IPA and Bike Lane Lager.

The brewery and barrel house had previously operated out of a site in Sorrento Valley, which also featured a tasting room. California Wild Ales can still be found slinging sours from its satellite tasting room in Ocean Beach.

The new Point Loma headquarters will feature the next California Wild Ales tasting room, reportedly due to open by late Spring 2023. Stay updated on the latest barrel-aged brews by California Wild Ales by following on Instagram
