The company’s second San Diego site is set to move into the former home of US Bank Mortgage in the Sprouts-anchored shopping center, according to intel received by What Now Media Group. The Stand is expected to open before the end of the year, but those who can’t wait can visit the sole area location in Carmel Mountain Ranch at 12045 Carmel Mountain Road, Site #303. The new location will offer quality, speed, and a diverse menu to meet everyone’s needs.

The Stand was founded in 2003 by Murray Wishengrad and now has over a dozen locations throughout Southern California, mainly in Los Angeles County. The company debuted in San Diego last year in the former home of Grub Burger Bar within the Carmel Mountain Ranch Home Center. This second location proves The Stand is focused on expanding further south to bring redefined American classics to more parts of California. Some items on the menu include the French Onion Soup Burger and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. The restaurant also offers sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, wraps, fries, beer, wine, milkshakes, and more.

“We commit every day to delivering the finest Food, Service, and Value,” according to the company’s website. “That’s our pledge to you. To accomplish this, we partner with only the finest local suppliers. From fresh daily baked bread and professionally blended proprietary ground beef to locally sourced produce, we hold our partners to the highest standards of excellence.”
