The restaurant is owned by Chef Adam Ouidiani, who has operated restaurants in Africa and relocated to San Diego to be nearer to family. Once he noticed African cuisine was underrepresented in the area, Yum Yum Africa was created.

Their menu is still under wraps at this phase but their website promises classic African fare at its finest. The restaurant appreciates the deep connection their new neighborhood has with tradition and history and look to uphold their own traditions through cuisine.

Signage is up outside of the restaurant and preparations are underway. Yum Yum Africa is expected to debut in April 2022. An Instagram page and Website are parked for now if you’d like to follow along for updates.
