Co-founders and Columbian natives turned San Diegans, Maria Bahamon and Jairo Martinez, started the business in 2018. They currently operate in University Heights, with a cafe attached to Kairoa Brewing Company.

Their coffee is carefully selected and sourced from the various coffee-growing regions of Colombia. Coffee enthusiasts can explore single origin, small-batch roasted coffee by purchasing by the bag on their website. Guests at the cafe can sample a variety of espresso and pour over drinks paired with an Hommage Bakehouse pastry.

Jairo Martinez tells What Now San Diego their opening in Pacific Beach is dependent on the permitting process with the city but they expect the new Yipao Coffee to open by January 2023. Explore the treasured coffee of Colombia by visiting their website and follow Yipao Coffee on Instagram for updates.
